Inger & Tor
So happy to see you visiting our blog – welcome!
We’re an outdoorsy couple that has recently discovered a love for photography – and we try to combine the two interests. Our blog is a combination of outdoor adventure and photography.
We love visiting new places and have been very lucky to experience some amazing locations.
Our honeymoon went to Alaska where we spent 6 days on a small boat trip in Prince William Sound. Another arctic destination of ours is Svalbard, a Norwegian group of islands in the Arctic Ocean, where we were so lucky to see the polar bear. We lived 4 years in Alberta, Canada – close to one of the most fantastic mountain ranges on earth – the Rocky Mountains. One of the most ‘out of this earth’ places we have been to is Yellowstone with all its magnificent colors and thermal features. Our next destination? We are hoping to make it to Antarctica one day…
Name of the blog? Inger was born at 69 degrees north and grew up far above the arctic circle – under the northern lights and midnight sun. Despite not having lived there for 10 years she still calls it home.
We would love to have your company so feel free to follow us!
I like your “about me” page. Tells me a lot about you but without too many details. Sounds like a very interesting job and I would like to hear more about that and how it is for you being a woman in what sounds like a typical male dominated job.

Lucky you to have experienced the world. Has your hubby gotten around to blogging. He would offer a great perspective too.
I did work for a major construction engineering project:

love your thoughts on traveling! I am in my 50’s and traveled a whole heck of a lot and I am also a retired nurse and a veteran of the Army Nurse Corps. I agree that we should splurge and travel and especially at younger ages as I have done as I have been sick and unable to travel like I used to….Thx for dropping by my blog guys!

Hi Jim! Yes we have actually spent a lot of time in the Kananaskis, or K-country. It is great for day trips as the travel from Calgary isn’t too long. I will for sure post some posts from K-country as well. After 3 years living at the foot of the Rockies we have experienced a lot here, it is an amazing place:) But there is still lots to see!

We really enjoy Icefields Parkway but this year we are going to explore the Sunshine Coast and Vancover Island. Baniff was too busy for us but we really enjoy Jasper. You live in a beautiful place.

Fully agree Banff is crowded, but nothing compared to Lake Louise! Crazy busy around the Chateau Lake Louise…. Jasper is also my preference, but it is a 5 hour drive to get there so we don’t go too often. Vancouver Island is beautiful, we had a short visit there last summer – that should be a great trip!

I wish it was only a 5 hour drive to get there. It is 13 hours from here.

Thanks a lot for visiting and following my blog. It was interesting to read about your “reverse role” relationship. Our son’s wife is an engineer who works for Conoco-Phillips and he gave up his business to accompany her to Australia for several years. He does work part of the time, but also pursues his glass art, does most of the food prep and other chores. They have a great life, and it sounds like you do also!
